The English language course held for 24 employees of the General Union of Charitable Societies concluded.
The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, stressed the Union’s keenness to hold many courses that contribute to developing the capabilities of the Union’s employees and developing their skills in the English language, including concepts, rules, and terminology, in a way that will reflect positively on their work.
He said that the Union is continuously implementing courses and workshops in the governorates to benefit the largest possible number of associations and members of the local community, as a course for treasurers was recently held for associations to enable them in the field of managing their administrative and financial affairs, in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding with the Emmag Company for Development Consultations and Training in order to build capabilities. Charitable organizations and promoting conservation in humanitarian work.
He stated that the Union implemented, within the project of economic empowerment for vulnerable groups in Mafraq, multiple courses in the field of home industries, beauty and drawing for children with special needs, in addition to holding conversation courses in the English language for young men and women.
Trainer Aaron Nelson indicated that the course, which lasted for ten days, included many exercises related to providing the participants’ linguistic skills and developing their awareness of the English language in conversation, so that the focus of the course is on how communication works and encouraging participants to interact and use the English language as a language of dialogue through various topics. It involves different activities such as reading, listening and speaking.
At the end of the conclusion, which was attended by the Vice President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Ayyash Krishan, the Director General of the Union and the Charitable Lottery, Khalil Al Qubaisi, and the directors of the Union and the Lottery Committee, Dr. Adibat honored Dr. Haroun Nelson, his wife, Laura, and his family, in appreciation of their efforts in making the goals and objectives of the session a success.
