General Union of Voluntary Societies
The General Union of Voluntary Societies is the main umbrella for charitable societies in Jordan. It was established on 1/8/1959 as a voluntary civil body and is registered with the Ministry of Social Development under the Societies Law.
The Union works to raise the level of social services and unify the efforts of charitable societies across various sectors, in cooperation with the governorate unions and their affiliated societies, to complement the work of official institutions in achieving social peace and sustainable development in local communities.
