Aqaba Governorate Charitable Societies Union
The Aqaba Governorate Charitable Societies Union was established in 1994, and operates within the network of governorate unions under the umbrella of the General Union.

Leadership, creativity and initiative in performance to deliver services and programs to the community through an efficient and effective strategic system, in cooperation with relevant parties.
Message
Strengthening the role of charitable societies in spreading and developing a culture of voluntary charitable work, instilling a spirit of initiative and sense of responsibility, and fostering social solidarity to achieve social peace and deepen loyalty and belonging.
Objectives & Tasks
- Coordinating the efforts of its member societies to provide their charitable and developmental social services, and working to improve their service levels.
- Overseeing the common interests of the affiliated societies and guiding and directing them.
- Setting the general policy for the shared services of charitable societies.
- Acting as the link between the affiliated societies and government bodies and the Ministry of Social Development.
- Obliging societies to follow the Union's directives and policy and to contribute to the joint projects the Union decides on.
- Providing the General Union of Voluntary Societies with the required information, data and statistics.
- Resolving disputes between societies and referring those that are difficult to resolve to the Societies Registry.
- Establishing productive projects to provide charitable societies with revenues to cover part of their expenses.
- Holding vocational training courses at the Union's premises.
- Cooperating with the governorate unions to achieve the Union's aims.
- Providing financial assistance to affiliated societies within its available means.
