Mafraq Governorate Charitable Societies Union
The Mafraq Governorate Charitable Societies Union was established in 1986, and operates within the network of governorate unions under the umbrella of the General Union.

Toward an outstanding institution in charitable work that achieves sustainable social development for Mafraq's societies.
Message
The Charitable Societies Union is a voluntary institution providing comprehensive social services in community development in order to improve the quality of charitable societies in Mafraq Governorate, through implementing its various future programs of productive projects, training for charitable societies, humanitarian aid and initiatives, relying on a deep understanding of the societies' needs and a team of experienced and competent volunteers from the Board.
Objectives & Tasks
- Overseeing the common interests of the charitable societies affiliated with the Union, and guiding and directing them toward their shared goals.
- Coordinating the efforts of the member societies, improving the level of their services, and encouraging the establishment of new societies in its area of work to provide other social services the governorate needs.
- Setting the general policy for the shared services of its constituent societies.
- Resolving disputes that arise between societies.
- Acting as the link between the affiliated societies and government bodies, particularly the Ministry of Social Development represented by its office in the Capital Governorate, regarding general policy and funding.
- Societies commit to the Union's directives and the general policy it sets, and contribute, according to their capabilities, to the joint projects the Union decides to undertake.
- Providing the General Union of Voluntary Societies in Jordan with the information, data and statistics required to coordinate societies' efforts and social services and unify them across the Kingdom.
- Holding training and vocational courses for societies.
- Providing financial and in-kind assistance to its affiliated societies and establishing productive projects.
