About the Charity Lottery
The Jordanian Charity Lottery was established in 1972 by a Royal will of the late His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal, may God rest his soul, under Lottery Regulation No. (17) of 1972, to enable the General Union of Voluntary Societies to secure financial resources to support its programs, social action projects and assistance for emergency cases.
In 2019 the regulation was updated to allow the development of lottery instruments and the issuance of new types, and it was amended again in 2023.
