The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, stressed the importance of enhancing partnership between various institutions in order to advance the work of unions and associations and raise their capabilities to achieve their mission in different fields and topics.
During his sponsorship of the graduation of participants in the activities of the training workshop in the field of conservation for charitable societies, which was held in the hall of the Regency Palace Hotel in Amman, organized by the General Federation of Associations in cooperation with the Union of Charitable Societies of the Capital Governorate, the Resource Center for Supporting Conservation in the Middle East and North Africa (RSH), and the Emdaj Company for Development and Training Consultations, he indicated the Federation’s keenness to enhance Charitable and volunteer work and raising the level of social work to serve the interest of everyone.
He stated that the Union focuses on holding awareness workshops and lectures on many issues that concern local communities and various groups of children, youth, and women, and empowering associations and federations, noting that this workshop aims to hold training workshops with charitable societies in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, and Madaba to enhance awareness of the importance of preservation and provide a safe environment for community members.
Jordan's representative at the Resource Center to Support Conservation in the Middle East and North Africa at RSH, Omar Qawasmeh, expressed his pride in this partnership with the Union to achieve the organization's goals related to empowering the humanitarian and development sector to enhance their own policies and practices on the subject of conservation, especially with regard to protection against sexual exploitation, assault, and sexual harassment.
The participants in the workshop recommended the necessity of holding such workshops that increase the associations’ knowledge of many topics, praising the efforts of the General Union in continuing to hold courses that benefit the associations and their ability to manage their affairs in a way that achieves their goals of serving the community.
