The General Federation of Charitable Societies, in cooperation with the Federation of Associations in Zarqa, the Resource Center to Support Conservation for the Middle East and North Africa (RSH), and the Edmaj Company for Development and Training Consultations, held a training workshop in the field of conservation for charitable organizations.
Vice President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Ayyash Krishan, confirmed during the opening of the workshop, representing the President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, that this workshop is the third held to enhance the awareness of charitable societies to work in safe environments.
He stated that two workshops were held in Amman and Irbid within the plan of the agreement signed with RSH and Integration in order to develop the capabilities and knowledge of workers in associations to provide services in safe conditions to reduce harassment or sexual exploitation and protect associations and beneficiaries.
The head of the Union of Charitable Societies in Zarqa, Muhammad Al-Majali, praised the support and assistance of the General Federation of federations and associations throughout the country by holding such workshops that contribute to strengthening their role and mission to serve local communities and those working in them.
Jordan's representative at the RSH Resource Center for Conservation Support in the Middle East and North Africa, Omar Qawasmeh, said that the aim of these workshops is to familiarize participants and workers in associations with the procedures and codes of conduct for conservation, the importance of communication, and the role of the media in this field.
The workshop activities, which were attended by the Director General of the Union and Lottery, Khalil Al Qubaisi, the Director of Federations and Associations in the Union, Reham Amayra, the Projects Director and Course Coordinator in the Union, Shatha Qtaishat, and the Head of the Public Relations Department, Raya Harahsheh, included practical exercises on safeguarding standards.
At the end of the workshop, Krishan handed over certificates to the participants.
