College of Occupational Therapy
The General Union of Voluntary Societies established the College of Occupational Therapy in 1989 as a joint project with the Royal Farah Center at Hussein Medical City, to qualify graduates to work in occupational therapy serving persons with mobility disabilities. The college closed at the end of the 1995/1996 academic year because it could not be converted into a university college granting a bachelor's degree, due to its relatively high operating cost and the absence of a university to supervise and fund such a college, as had been planned when it was founded in 1989.
- Funding body: USAID.
