The Union Voluntary Societies of Ma’an Governorate

The Union of Charitable Societies of Ma'an Governorate was established in (1971).

Vision: Spreading the culture of social volunteer work and partnership among civil society institutions to contribute to overcoming poverty and ignorance and achieving leadership in developing affected and vulnerable communities and empowering associations and institutions in urban, rural and desert development through effective and pioneering projects.

Mission: Continuously striving to provide community peace and reach the target groups in partnership with the charitable societies affiliated with the Union throughout the governorate.

Supervising the common interests of the charitable societies that have joined the Union, and guiding and directing them to achieve their common goals.

Coordinating the efforts of the associations that have joined the union, working to improve the level of their services, and encouraging the establishment of new associations in its business area to provide other social services that the governorate needs.

Developing the general policy for shared services for its constituent associations.

The Federation is the liaison between the associations that join it and the government agencies, especially the Ministry of Social Development in its offices in Ma'an Governorate, with regard to general policy and funding.

Providing the General Union of Charitable Societies in Jordan with the information, data and statistics required to coordinate and unify the efforts of associations and social services throughout the country.

Providing financial assistance to the charitable associations that join it, within its capabilities.
