The Union of Voluntary Societies of The Capital Governorate

The Capital Governorate Charitable Associations Union was established in 1958.

Vision: The Union seeks, in partnership with charitable associations, to provide community peace and psychological security for members of society.

Message: Spread the culture of charity and partnership among civil society institutions to contribute to overcoming poverty and ignorance, and extend a helping hand to those institutions and individuals who need it.

Coordinating the efforts of the associations affiliated with it to provide their charitable and developmental social services, and working to improve the level of their services.

Empowering, guiding and directing the charitable associations affiliated with it to achieve their common goals.

Providing technical, administrative and financial advice regarding the development of associations’ work programmes and activities.

Implementing any investment projects that are of public benefit in accordance with the powers stipulated in this system.

Contribute to resolving any dispute that may arise between the associations that join it.

Securing financial resources to finance the projects of the Union and associations in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Providing financial and in-kind assistance to the associations affiliated with it, and to families in emergency situations within the administrative borders of the governorate, in accordance with the instructions or foundations prepared by the Federation and approved by the Board of Directors of the Associations Registry.

Any economic activities that contribute to enhancing the income of the Federation and the associations affiliated with it, in accordance with the instructions or foundations prepared by the Federation for this purpose and approved by the Board of Directors of the Associations Register.
