Odaibat meets with heads of charitable organizations in Tafileh

The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, met today at the headquarters of the Union of Charitable Societies in Tafila Governorate with a number of heads of charitable societies and members of the governorate and municipal councils.
Dr. Adibat said that this meeting comes within a series of meetings and gatherings held by the General Union of union branches in the governorates in order to enhance volunteer, social and charitable work and identify the demands and needs of unions, associations and civil society institutions to achieve development, achievement and excellence.

Odaibat stressed the importance of the role of charitable societies in supporting the efforts made by the General Union and all concerned parties in the field of achieving comprehensive development through the implementation of charitable activities, programs and projects that aim to serve needy families and people with disabilities, alleviate their burdens, consolidate the concept of national belonging, and secure a decent standard of living for these groups that It needs support and assistance in light of the difficult economic circumstances.
He demonstrated the Union's keenness on participatory work through networking with international and local organizations and institutions to develop the Union's work in serving the community, achieving the public interest, and promoting charitable and volunteer work in Jordan.
He pointed out that institutional work had been initiated, where the heads of federations in the governorates were directed to use the support and invest it in a correct manner, indicating that the federation seeks to diversify its sources of income, achieve administrative reforms, and advance the work of charitable lotteries to achieve the goal and goal of serving the targeted segments.
He pointed out the importance of the achievements achieved at the national level in terms of economic reform and development processes thanks to the Hashemite leadership, which always seeks to achieve achievements in various fields.
Dr. Adibat pointed out that the Federation provided an amount of 120 thousand dinars to 12 federations in the governorates, 10 thousand dinars for each federation, in addition to providing aid in the form of coupons distributed to the poor and needy to enhance the message of charitable, volunteer, and humanitarian work and social solidarity, so that the associations would be a model in volunteer and humanitarian work.
Adibat added that charities have achieved a qualitative leap at the national level by providing projects, providing financial assistance to the poor and needy, and serving people with disabilities, indicating that the federation continues to support federations of associations in the governorates and association projects in order to carry out their mission and contribute to rehabilitation, training, employment, and achieve sustainable development in a way that reflects positively. On the local community.

The head of the Union of Charitable Societies in Tafila, Engineer Ali Al-Masry, said that the Union seeks, through its plans and programs, to create income-generating programs and projects by holding training courses and workshops for charitable societies that specialize in professions, crafts, and computer technology, with the aim of economic empowerment and addressing poverty and unemployment, in cooperation with a number of government institutions. Civil society and holding awareness sessions related to rejecting violence and drugs and their negative impact on society.
He pointed out that there are 64 charitable societies in Tafila, calling on the General Federation of Associations to maintain the Union building in the governorate so that it can carry out its mission and goals towards society, in addition to supporting the Union in finding projects that benefit everyone.
He stressed the importance of advancing the work of unions and associations by resolving the obstacles and challenges facing their work, increasing their allocations, allocating plots of land and delegating them to associations so that they can invest them and implement projects, providing support and assistance to associations that have plots of land and exempting them from fines and other matters that contribute to achieving their mission and goals to serve their communities.
A number of association presidents called on the General Federation of Associations to support associations and provide income-generating projects that contribute to alleviating the burden on productive families. They also established permanent popular markets to market their products and delegated plots of land to associations, in addition to providing productive projects to achieve their goals and help them develop their communities.

At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Tafila Development, Abdullah Al-Saqour, the Chairman of the Governorate Council, Fayez Al-Safasfa, a number of former heads of charitable unions, a number of heads of associations, and a number of council members, Dr. Adibat honored the leaders of volunteer work, the winners in the governorate councils, and members of the municipality.
