The General Federation of Charitable Societies, in cooperation with the Federation of Associations in Irbid, the Resource Center for Supporting Conservation in the Middle East and North Africa, and Idmag Development and Training Consulting Company, organized today, Thursday, a training workshop in the field of conservation for charities.
The Vice President of the General Federation of Charitable Societies, Ayyash Krishan, confirmed during the opening of the workshop, representing the President of the General Federation of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, that the Union was keen to hold such workshops to build the capacities of associations in various economic and social fields to raise the level of social work in Jordan to be an arm of the official institutions in Implementing sustainable development.
Krishan stated that safeguarding is one of the important training exercises to enhance the abilities of associations to work in safe environments, and to enable their workers to provide services in safe conditions, noting that the optimal importance of safeguarding is to protect associations and beneficiaries alike.
Vice President of the Irbid Union, Dr. Fayza Al-Zoubi, indicated that such workshops and courses are important in strengthening the role of associations and motivating them to provide the best in the field of charitable, humanitarian and volunteer work.
She indicated that the Union has an important role in qualifying associations in all administrative, professional and technical aspects. It implemented many courses, workshops, and conferences, noting that associations in Jordan are the nation’s humanitarian and social parliament, and have provided distinguished models in family building, and preserved the Jordanian identity by providing aid to the poor, the needy, and the sick.
She pointed out that the Union was keen to qualify women by urging them to participate in such training and integrate them into the labor market. The Union also continues efforts to enhance the value of women and protect them, praising the support and support of the General Union for unions in the governorates and associations and their development and growth.
The Director of Projects at the General Federation of Associations, Shatha Qutaishat, indicated that an agreement had been signed to implement training courses in the field of conservation in the governorates of the capital, Irbid, Zarqa, and Madaba through the Emaj Foundation for Development and Training Consultations.
The Jordanian representative at the Resource Center to Support Conservation in the Middle East and North Africa, Omar Qawasma, provided an explanation of the workshop, which included introducing the procedures and code of conduct for conservation, governance, accountability, communication, learning and development, media and communication, noting that the Center held many meetings with institutions and destinations.
