The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, stressed the Union’s keenness to advance the status of Al Amal Centers for Special Education.

He added, during his sponsorship of the opening of the maintenance project for the Al-Amal Center for Special Education in Sakhrah District in Ajloun Governorate, after the completion of rehabilitation and maintenance work for it, managed by a coalition of the Salah Al-Din Associations for the Care of the Disabled and Al-Jabal for Special Education, that the number of Al-Amal Centers is 12 centers, 5 of which are run by qualified and specialized associations, and 7 of which are run by the Union. General, indicating that plans have been drawn up to develop services in these centers to carry out their humanitarian and charitable mission towards the target groups.

He said that a committee was formed to conduct a concrete study of the reality of the situation of the Hope Centers in order to correct their administrative conditions and restructure them. The administrations of these centers were distributed to successful and active associations capable of implementing their plans and goals to provide exemplary services to the target groups, and that the coalition between Ajloun associations is one of the fruits of these decisions.

He stated that the number of beneficiaries from these centers has become more than 150, and that the Sakhrah Center contributed significantly to increasing the number of beneficiaries, as the cost of maintenance for the building amounted to about 20 thousand dinars, of which 12 thousand were supported by the General Union and 7,500 by the Latter Day Jerusalem Society (LDSC), noting that it was completed. Signing an agreement earlier with the Qadis Association in order to work on maintaining this center and preparing it to provide a suitable environment for its use by the students and people present in it.

He pointed out that the General Union, with the support of the Ministry of Social Development and members of the administrative body, was able to put the union back on its correct path. Support was also provided to unions in the governorates and associations to carry out their mission to serve their local communities.

He stressed the efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II since the beginning of the war on Gaza to stop the brutal aggression and instructed him to establish field hospitals and provide aid to support the steadfastness of the family and brothers in Gaza and Palestine, indicating that Jordan will remain the support and pride of Palestine and its people and its guardianship of the holy sites is eternal and sacred and cannot be disputed by anyone.

President of the Latter-day Saint Association, Chris Steiner, said that regardless of the cultural and linguistic differences between the two different worlds, they are able to help those in need of assistance, noting that maintenance has been carried out on the center to make it a safe place to receive and teach students.

He stated that Latter-day Saint associations operate in 190 countries, including Jordan, where they have been operating since 1989, with five full-time volunteers. The charitable organization is funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, appreciating the efforts of the General Union of Charitable Societies, engineers, and contractors who have exerted their utmost efforts in making it a success. This work is promoted to distinguished levels.

The head of the Specific Union of Special Education Societies in Ajloun and the head of the Salah al-Din Association for the Care of the Disabled and the Education of Orphans, Abdul Hadi Najadat, indicated that the Qadis Association had previously visited the center to see its needs for maintenance and rehabilitation, as no maintenance work had been carried out on it since its founding, indicating that students would be received at the center. As of the second semester.

The head of the Al-Jabal Association for Special Education, Ali Al-Momani, said that the maintenance of the Al-Amal Center for Special Education has been completed, and for 29 years the center has been serving people with disabilities, appreciating the efforts of the General Union of Charitable Societies and the Latter Day Saint Association for their financial support and carrying out maintenance work to provide its services to people with disabilities.

The project coordinator between the Union and the Saint Maher Abdo Association noted that the General Union contributed to strengthening the work of the Al-Amal Centers for Special Education by handing over supervision to them by effective associations that serve the Union’s humanitarian, charitable, voluntary and developmental mission and goals.

At the end of the celebration, which was attended by the Vice President of the General Union, Ayyash Krishan, the Director General of the Union and Lottery, Khalil Al-Qubaisi, the Chairman of the Ajloun Governorate Council, Omar Al-Moumani, Al-Pasha Mazen Al-Moumani, the Director of Ajloun Development, Dr. Maryam Gharaibeh, the President of the Ajloun Royal Union, Bani Atta, and a number of members of Al-Junaid decentralization.
