The Federation of Charitable Societies stresses the importance of integrating people with disabilities into society

The General Federation of Charitable Societies stressed the importance of enhancing efforts aimed at empowering people with disabilities and integrating them into all areas of life, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

According to a statement by the Federation, today, Thursday, the Chairman of the Interim Administrative Board of the Federation, Nasser Al-Shuraidah, said that the Federation gives priority to people with disabilities, as maintenance work was previously carried out on the Federation building and designed it to be environmentally friendly and equipped with an electric elevator to transport "people with disabilities", and to take into account their conditions and circumstances as a matter of social responsibility, indicating the need to enhance psychological and social support for them and develop skills and hobbies that help them enhance their self-confidence and achieve their independence, through cooperation between all concerned parties from governmental and civil institutions and society to ensure that they obtain their full rights.

Al-Shuraidah called for taking actual steps to improve the infrastructure and develop public services to be available to all without exception, and for the importance of changing the societal view towards people with disabilities and promoting a culture of respect and equality in a way that reflects the human values ​​that guarantee dignity for all, stressing the union’s commitment to continue supporting people with disabilities and working to meet their needs through comprehensive and sustainable initiatives and programs and standing by them and enabling them to participate effectively in building the future of the nation.
