The exhibition of handicrafts and products was opened in the Zein Park Hall of the Greater Jerash Municipality, which was organized by the Nashmiya Association for Women and Children’s Charitable Development with the support of the General Union of Charitable Societies.
The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Dr. Atef Odaibat, who opened the exhibition, said that the General Union is keen to provide support to active and effective associations, which contribute to strengthening the General Union’s charitable, voluntary and humanitarian mission to serve local communities.
He highlighted the importance of the role of charitable societies in supporting the efforts made by the General Union and the concerned parties in the field of achieving comprehensive development, noting that empowering women is considered one of the pillars of the Union’s programs to develop their skills and capabilities.
The association’s president, Afaf Al-Nizami, appreciated the General Union’s support for such purposeful initiatives and projects, which contributed to providing job opportunities and empowering women in a number of professions.
The exhibition included the association’s products, including handicrafts, sheath fringing, and straw scenes for participants in the production needs project, which came with support from the General Union.
The opening was attended by the Vice President of the General Federation, Ayyash Krishan, the Director General of the Federation and Lottery, Khalil Al Qubaisi, the Director of Projects in the Federation, Shatha Qutaishat, and a number of media representatives, Atla’ Adibat.
