The General Union of Charitable Societies emphasized the importance of the National Service Program in instilling values of discipline and responsibility in young people. It noted that the graduation of new cohorts of national service recruits represents a significant step in preparing a generation capable of serving the nation and society and keeping pace with the demands of comprehensive development.
The President of the General Union of Charitable Societies, Amer Khawaldeh, pointed out that the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II for the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of national service recruits reflects a direct interest in young people and a firm belief that they constitute the cornerstone of the national development process. He affirmed that this royal patronage represents a major incentive to enhance young people's self-confidence and motivate them to be creative and contribute.
Khawaldeh explained that the National Service Program is not limited to military training but extends to building the well-rounded character of young people by developing leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline skills, in addition to reinforcing national and humanitarian values that contribute to building a cohesive society capable of facing challenges.
He explained that these programs contribute to shaping young people's personalities and developing their life and professional skills, which positively impacts their participation in volunteer and charitable work. He pointed out that charitable organizations provide a true incubator for young people's energies, capable of directing them towards development projects that serve local communities.
He added that the next phase requires concerted efforts among all relevant parties to support and empower young people economically and socially, emphasizing that investing in youth is the true investment in the nation's future.
Al-Khawaldeh concluded by affirming that the graduation of those completing their national service represents an important national milestone that reflects the state's vision of building a Jordanian citizen capable of bearing responsibility and actively contributing to the nation's progress and development.
